Punjab Schools Extend Winter Vacations: New Dates Announced

The Punjab School Education Department has revised the winter vacation schedule for schools across the province, providing students and teachers with updated holiday dates.

Updated Winter Vacation Schedule

As per the new notification, winter vacations will now commence on December 23, 2024, instead of the previously set date of December 20. The revised holiday period will last until January 10, 2025, with classes resuming on January 13, 2025. This change offers an extended three-day break for most schools across Punjab.

Special Schedule for Murree

For Murree, where winters are harsher, the vacation schedule remains unchanged. Schools in this region will close on December 20 and reopen much later, on February 28, 2025, to protect students from the severe cold.

Health and Safety Measures

In addition to adjusting the vacation dates, the Punjab education department reiterated the importance of mandatory face masks within school premises. This measure aims to ensure the health and safety of students, staff, and families amidst ongoing public health concerns.

Schools across the province have been urged to strictly follow health protocols, prioritizing the well-being of all stakeholders during the winter season.
