The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Sher Afzal Marwat recently made headlines with his optimistic prediction regarding the release of former Prime Minister Imran Khan. According to Marwat, Imran Khan may be released from jail during the first or second week of Ramadan, anticipated to begin in March this year.

Marwat’s Statement on Negotiations

Marwat, known for his candid remarks, shared these insights during an interview on a national news program. He claimed that both the government and PTI are aligned on ensuring that the ongoing negotiations reach a positive conclusion.

“Negotiations between the government and PTI are advancing smoothly, and both sides are well aware of the need for resolution,” Marwat said. He added that only superficial tensions, akin to “firecrackers,” exist between the parties, while significant efforts are being made to facilitate Imran Khan’s release.

Criticism of Internal and External Opposition

The PTI leader also addressed the challenges within the party and from external sources. He alleged that individuals, including those abroad, have been conducting targeted campaigns against him. Despite the criticism, Marwat emphasized his commitment to the PTI and vowed to address any accusations with evidence if necessary.

Marwat further expressed concern over certain party members being labeled as traitors. He highlighted the need for unity and mutual respect among PTI supporters, urging an end to internal discord.
