Pakistan and Saudi Arabia Sign Agreement for Hajj 2025: 179,210 Pilgrims to Benefit

Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have finalized an agreement for Hajj 2025, marking a significant milestone for Pakistani pilgrims. Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Chaudhry Salik Hussain and Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan al-Rabiah signed the accord to enhance the pilgrimage experience for 179,210 Pakistanis this year.

Improved Facilities for Pilgrims

The agreement emphasizes better services, including reduced rates and dedicated spaces for Pakistani pilgrims in Mina. A shorter Hajj program of 20 to 25 days has been introduced, ensuring a more comfortable and accessible journey. Pilgrims can also opt for a stay in Madinah, ranging from four to eight days.

Each pilgrim will receive a specially designed bag featuring a Pakistani flag, a QR code for identification, and key information about the pilgrimage. Additionally, a mobile app will provide real-time updates on group details, training schedules, flights, accommodations, and live maps of pilgrimage sites, ensuring smooth communication and convenience.

Technological Integration for Convenience

The mobile app is a standout feature of the Hajj 2025 arrangements. It ensures that pilgrims can access essential information on their smartphones, making the entire process—from preparation to completion—seamless and efficient. This initiative highlights the commitment to integrating technology for a better pilgrimage experience.

Collaboration and Hajj Expo Participation

Chaudhry Salik Hussain will participate in the four-day International Hajj Conference in Jeddah, organized by the Saudi Ministry of Hajj. The conference aims to foster collaboration with organizations and companies responsible for providing services to pilgrims, solidifying the commitment to delivering an enhanced Hajj experience.

Private Hajj Scheme and Booking Details

Private Hajj scheme bookings commenced on January 10 and will continue until January 31. The Ministry of Religious Affairs has outlined a range of Hajj packages, with basic options priced between Rs1.1 million and Rs2.15 million. Premium packages exceeding Rs3 million require approval from the Hajj Policy Formulation Committee.

Private operators must adhere to the Service Provider Agreement (SPA) for bookings and share all transactions involving premium packages with the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and relevant authorities.

Commitment to Accountability

The Pakistan Ulema Council (PUC) Chairman Hafiz Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi has warned against unauthorized entities facilitating visas for beggars, assuring strict action against violators. This measure aims to maintain the sanctity of Hajj and ensure an orderly pilgrimage experience.

Hajj 2025 promises a blend of tradition and modern convenience, ensuring that Pakistani pilgrims have a memorable and fulfilling journey. The collaboration between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia underscores their shared commitment to providing world-class facilities and services for this sacred pilgrimage.
